The Wedding

Shew.. what a week. It might have been the most busy week I have ever had, but I have to say I enjoyed every minute of it.

There were many last minute errands to run, calls to be made, vendors to be paid and a cram session with the bride and her maid of honor.

The rehearsal went off great and the wedding party minded me well :). The pastor was a firecracker and kept us all on our toes. And we all went home early and got plenty of rest... well.. most of us.. (groomsmen)

The day of the wedding I met the groom at the reception site to make sure all was underway and everything was the way it was suppose to be. There were a few minor problems, but nothing I couldn't handle.

Robbie and Christina McClellan were married Saturday May 16, 2009. Reverand Joe Byrd married the couple at Bloomingdale Baptist Church in Kingsport, TN. At 4 o'clock on the dot, Tim escorted his daughter down the aisle. At Robbie's side was his best man Brian Davis and Katie Wright stood for her best friend Christy.

The reception was at the Quality Inn and full of fun with drinks and dancing. After the parents left and the shoes were kicked off, Michael Hawkins pulled out his Krazy Karaoke machine and we let loose. Almost all of the wedding party sang, including the bride and groom and even myself. It was a great time that went late into the night.

Thanks for a wonderful time Christy and Robbie!

I hope to have pictures up soon. They had a great photographer Carrie! And maybe later I will add more about what really went on behind the scenes.

For now.. Congratulations Robbie and Christy McClellan. Have a great Honeymoon!!

Hi all!

This is the final week preparing for the wedding of Christy and Robbie. Finalizing all of the small details. The Maid of Honor will be in town on Thursday and we are having a cram session to make sure we are all on the same page and finish the itinerary for the big day! Rehearsal on Friday! Wedding on Saturday! Everything is going to be great!!!

There is a possibility of a new wedding on the books. I hope to hear back from them soon. I am working on contracts and trying to figure out how to charge for my services. I feel bad for charging for something I enjoy doing so much. But that is the reason I started this business. I want to grow so big that I can make this my full time job and career.

I hope to have pics up from the wedding Saturday and will continue to update of the progress as the week goes by.

Thanks to all that are keeping up.

Hi All! I really wanted to thank everyone for all of the support I have gotten via email and facebook. And I hope that everyone will follow what's going on in my world of event planning!

Right now I am less than 2 weeks away from the wedding that I am currently coordinating. They had originally set the date for October. But they decided to move it up to May giving us only about 3 months to plan the whole thing!! Even once they decided on May the date changed just a few times before it all came together. And so far its going great!

Christy and Robbie will wed on May 16. We are meeting with the assistant manager of the reception site tomorrow to finalize the layout of the ballroom, the final menu items and few minor details. It won't be long now!!

Hopefully I will have some pics up to soon!

Introduction

All Good Occasions has been a life long dream of mine. I have always been Ms Organization and Ms Planner so this is the perfect job for myself. Although I do have a full time job, I am very dedicated to work hard with this and ultimately make this my career.

I have been coordinating weddings for about 8 years. My services can vary from every detail to just being there when needed. Besides weddings, I have years of experience with baby showers, bridal showers, kids birthday parties, adult birthday parties and many other events. So I am willing to jump into anything you might need planned, even business / corporate events.

My fees / prices will vary due to the event and budget. So I will speak with each possible client on an individual basis to get their wants / needs and then we can talk money. But I promise to be the most fair. Especially since I am just getting on my feet making this into a legit business, I am looking for more experience than anything.

I have refreneces and will have those up soon.

I am going to continue this blog to let you all in on what I am currently doing. So bookmark this page and I hope to hear from you...

Thanks!
